PRESALES SOLUTION SPECIALIST

Purpose and objectives
The Pre-Sales Organization actively supports the SAP field
organization in sales, presales for all
customer engagement cycles and with all kinds of lead generating
tasks. This includes aspects
like software revenue, customer satisfaction and solution
completeness
In-depth presales support for specific functional areas as well as
for complete solution portfolios
is a central part of the assignment. A close relationship to the
sales organizations in Europe
sharing insights and targets is a basic element of proactively
supporting the
field to be successful in selling SAP solutions
Responsibilities of a Presale Solution Specialist include active
participation in any of the following:
site survey, strategy sessions, value based product presentations
or demonstrations, and after
sale transition to consulting services.
Education and qualification / skills and
competencies
- University degree or equivalent in business management,
economics or computer science
- Deep functional expert knowledge
- Knowledge of value engineering methodology
- Very high action orientation and pragmatism, readiness to take
on responsibility
- Works and acts independently, but must be a good team
player
- Self-managed, but strong team-player in multi-cultural
environment
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Highly persistent
- Strongly oriented towards execution
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Willingness to continuously learn
- Good knowledge of English
Expectation and tasks
- Product demonstration/presentation (demo scenarios, customer
presentation, attend industry trade shows, participation at
symposia)
- Deliver value based presentations and product demonstrations on
how SAP Business Allin-
- One solution meet the customer's needs and deliver value
- Identify, understand and define the customer's business
requirements, needs, pain points, objectives and promoting the
value proposition of SAP BAIO solution to meet this requirement and
deliver benefits to the customer.
- Support all stages of a sales cycle to generate leads and
sales, conduct business development / market development activities
in sync with the Sales, Marketing and
- Partner team
- Play an active role in the sales cycles and create value
through participation throughout the sales cycle, including
customer workshops
- Support in knowledge transfer e.g. training, workshops for
customer/partners
- Prepare and execute additional presentations for marketing
events
- Support the regional Business Development in Product management
related activities
- (Business Roll In, product quality assurance, participation at
product test, developing white papers, brochures).
- Contribute to pipeline and revenue increase, through
participation and coordination of demand generation activities,
including customer workshops, SAP tradeshows and company
events
- Readiness to often business trips
Work experience
- Experience in a customer facing role with large, multi-national
software/technology organization
- Experience in Pre-sales and\or Business development role a
plus
- Knowledge of SAP ERP solution
